Course Overview

This course, “Case Management Training | Basics of Case Management,” provides a comprehensive introduction to social case work. Through ten focused chapters, learners will explore foundational definitions, core processes, guiding principles, practical tools, and specialized applications of case work across varied settings—including health, schools, and addiction services. Emphasis is placed on developing effective communication, accurate documentation, and strong worker–client relationships to support client-centered practice. By the end of this course, participants will be equipped with conceptual knowledge and practical strategies to deliver ethical, evidence-informed case management.

Assignments

The course includes four practical assignments that focus on key aspects of case work practice, including understanding case work principles, applying case work processes, utilizing case work tools, and demonstrating effective communication in diverse settings. Participants are required to complete all assignments. A minimum score of 80% is necessary to pass the course and receive a certificate of completion.
